1. About Beyond Gaming League

Beyond Gaming League (“BGL”) is an independently operated platform, managed by its owner and authorized administrators. The Platform exists to support competitive gaming communities by providing tools such as tournament automation, league management, team organization, messaging, statistics, and related functionality.

BGL is currently operated as a non-commercial project. Any references to donations or voluntary support do not constitute the sale of goods or services and do not guarantee access, features, outcomes, or support.

BGL may introduce paid features, subscriptions, or other commercial offerings in the future. Any such offerings will be subject to additional terms or updates to these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to access or use the Platform.

By using the Platform, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you represent that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the Platform.

3. Accounts and Access

Certain features may require authentication, including through third-party services such as Discord OAuth.

• You agree to provide accurate information where required
• You agree to maintain the security of your credentials
• You agree not to share, sell, transfer, or misuse accounts

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether authorized or not.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Platform. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:

• Attempting to gain unauthorized access to systems, databases, APIs, or accounts
• Exploiting bugs, vulnerabilities, or security flaws
• Reverse engineering, scraping, or automating access without permission
• Interfering with service availability or performance
• Uploading malicious content, malware, or phishing links
• Impersonating others or misrepresenting affiliation with BGL

We reserve the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate access at any time to protect the Platform, users, or system integrity.

5. User Content

5.1 Ownership

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Platform, including usernames, team names, logos, messages, files, listings, and event data (“User Content”).

5.2 License to BGL

By submitting User Content, you grant BGL a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and modify such content only as necessary to operate, maintain, moderate, and improve the Platform (for example, displaying team names, match results, or historical statistics), and to allow our service providers to do the same on our behalf. This license does not transfer ownership.

5.3 Responsibility

• Does not infringe intellectual property or other rights
• Does not violate applicable laws or these Terms
• Is appropriate for a public or community-facing platform

5.4 Removal and Retention

We may remove or restrict access to User Content at any time. Certain historical records (such as match results or statistics) may be retained for integrity, moderation, or archival purposes.

6. Community Standards

Users must act respectfully and lawfully. Harassment, hate speech, threats, abuse, or discriminatory behavior are prohibited across all Platform spaces, including Discord integrations.

7. Tournaments, Events, and Automation

The Platform may support tournaments, leagues, or events using automated systems.

• Automated tools may make decisions based on available data
• Errors, delays, or discrepancies may occur
• Event outcomes, rankings, or statistics are not guaranteed

BGL is not a game publisher and does not control third-party game servers, updates, matchmaking, or gameplay performance.

8. Third-Party Services

The Platform may integrate with third-party services, including but not limited to authentication providers, game APIs, analytics tools, or hosting services. These services operate independently under their own terms and policies. BGL is not responsible for third-party outages, changes, data loss, service interruptions, or enforcement actions.

9. Data & Privacy

We collect and process only data reasonably necessary to operate the Platform, including:

• Account identifiers (e.g., Discord user ID or username)
• Technical logs and usage data
• Event, match, and platform activity data
• Files voluntarily uploaded by users

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information. If a Privacy Policy is published, it is incorporated by reference into these Terms.

Data Retention

Historical event records and statistics may be retained to preserve platform integrity, prevent abuse, and support moderation.

Security

We employ reasonable safeguards, but no system is fully secure. Use of the Platform is at your own risk.

10. Donations and Voluntary Support

BGL may accept optional donations or other forms of voluntary support, including through third-party platforms.

Donations are made voluntarily and at the sole discretion of the contributor. Donations do not constitute the purchase of goods, services, subscriptions, digital content, or access rights.

BGL may, at its discretion, offer non-monetary acknowledgements or community recognition to supporters (such as roles or badges), which may be modified or revoked at any time.

• Donations do not create any obligation, warranty, entitlement, or ongoing support commitment by BGL
• Unless otherwise required by law, donations are non-refundable
• Donations do not guarantee availability, features, outcomes, or priority access

BGL retains sole discretion over the use and allocation of donated funds, which may be applied to infrastructure, hosting, development, maintenance, or other operational costs.

11. Intellectual Property

All Platform code, systems, designs, branding, and original content are the intellectual property of BGL, unless otherwise stated. You may not copy, redistribute, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit any part of the Platform without permission.

Third-party trademarks (including Discord, Rocket League, Epic Games, and Psyonix) belong to their respective owners. BGL is not affiliated with or endorsed by any third party.

12. Feedback

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you submit regarding the Platform may be used by BGL without restriction, attribution, or compensation.

13. Copyright Complaints

If you believe your copyrighted work is infringed on the Platform, contact us with:

• Your contact information
• A description of the copyrighted work
• The location of the allegedly infringing content
• A good-faith statement of ownership

We may remove content while reviewing the claim.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• BGL shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
• BGL shall not be liable for data loss, service interruptions, or third-party failures

BGL’s total liability for any claim shall not exceed the minimum amount permitted by applicable law.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BGL from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the Platform
• Your User Content
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any law or third-party rights

17. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including security, abuse prevention, or operational necessity.

The Platform may be modified, paused, or discontinued at any time.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction within the United States, unless otherwise required by law.

19. Severability & Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and BGL regarding use of the Platform and supersede any prior agreements or communications.

20. Survival

Sections relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law, and dispute resolution shall survive termination of access.
