Privacy Policy
This Policy explains how Beyond Gaming League and ATOM handle personal information when you visit, sign in, participate in communities or tournaments, contact support, or use paid features.
1. Scope and operator
Beyond Gaming League and ATOM are operated by the individual owner of Beyond Gaming League. In this Policy, “BGL,” “ATOM,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to that operator and the services offered under those names.
This Policy applies to BGL websites, ATOM tools, account features, support interactions, and related services that link to it. It does not control Discord, Discord’s payment partners, game publishers, community administrators, or other third parties, which have their own privacy practices.

Interactions and messages: ATOM uses slash commands, buttons, forms, and other Discord interactions. BGL receives the information you intentionally submit through those features and identifiers for messages or channels ATOM creates or manages. ATOM does not use the privileged Message Content Intent to read general conversations and does not record or store voice audio.
Payment methods: Discord or another payment platform identified at checkout and its payment providers collect and process payment method details. BGL does not receive or store your full card number, card security code, or full bank account credentials unless a future checkout clearly states otherwise and this Policy is updated before that collection begins.
3. How we use information
- provide authentication, accounts, the Tournament Hub, tournament participation, community administration, statistics, scheduling, and ATOM features;
- verify Discord server authority and apply role-based access controls;
- determine eligibility for, activate, administer, and prevent abuse of trials, discounts, promotions, credits, gifts, extensions, referrals, and complimentary access; and create, manage, reconcile, and support paid offerings and non-paid entitlements;
- display public competition records and preserve tournament integrity;
- review, moderate, refuse, restrict, hide, replace with a neutral placeholder, or remove public or community-visible content, apply content and safety standards, and enforce the Terms;
- receive, authenticate, investigate, prioritize, document, and resolve issue reports and support requests, and communicate service or billing information;
- detect, investigate, prevent, and respond to fraud, cheating, abuse, security incidents, payment disputes, and Terms violations;
- debug, maintain, measure, and improve the Services;
- comply with law, enforce agreements, establish or defend legal claims, and protect users and third parties; and
- send service communications and, only where permitted and appropriately authorized, limited marketing related to BGL or ATOM. Discord API Data and Premium entitlement data are not used for unrelated advertising or sold.
4. Legal bases for processing
Where a law requires a legal basis, we rely on one or more of the following: performing a contract with you; taking steps you request before entering a contract; our legitimate interests in operating, securing, improving, and enforcing the Services; your consent; and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, but withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing.
5. How we disclose information
We may disclose information to the following recipients for the purposes described in this Policy:
- Discord: for sign-in, server membership, roles, connected community functions, Premium App purchases, offer redemption, entitlement management, fraud prevention, cancellations, refunds, payment disputes, and transaction support;
- authorized payment platforms and payment providers: for purchases, offer redemption, entitlement management, tax, fraud prevention, receipts, cancellations, refunds, payment disputes, and transaction support;
- hosting, database, security, content delivery, and technical providers: to operate and protect the Services;
- game, ranking, and tournament integrations: to obtain or verify supported competition data;
- community administrators and participants: where needed to operate tournaments, event teams, moderation, or public records;
- professional advisers and authorities: when reasonably necessary for legal, accounting, security, fraud, or compliance matters; and
- a successor: in a financing, reorganization, sale, or transfer of the Services, subject to appropriate protections and notice where required.
BGL does not sell personal information for money, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, disclose Discord API Data to data brokers or advertising networks, or use Discord API Data to train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models. If a materially different practice is proposed, this Policy and any legally required choice mechanism will be updated before the new use begins.
6. Public and community-visible information
Competitive communities depend on shared records. Your username, avatar, team, roster, registrations, results, rankings, schedules, standings, and similar participation data may be visible to other members or the public. Server administrators may also access data needed to manage their community.
BGL may review, restrict, hide, remove, or replace public or community-visible names, images, links, and other content as described in the Terms. When content originates from Discord or another third-party service, hiding or removing it from BGL does not necessarily remove the original content from that service.
Do not submit content that you do not want displayed to the intended audience. Removing an account does not necessarily remove accurate historical tournament records, content another person submitted, or information BGL must retain for security, disputes, or legal compliance.
7. Cookies, local storage, and external resources
BGL uses strictly necessary session cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, protect requests against forgery, remember temporary interface state, and maintain security. Blocking these technologies may prevent account features from working.
Pages may request resources from Discord, Google Fonts, hosting providers, payment platforms, or content delivery networks. Those providers may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the page requesting the resource. Discord or another payment platform may use its own cookies or similar technologies when you sign in, open an offer, complete checkout, or manage a subscription. Refer to the applicable provider’s privacy notice for its practices.
BGL does not currently use third-party advertising trackers. If nonessential analytics or advertising cookies are introduced, BGL will add any consent tool required by applicable law before using them.
8. Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, including to provide accounts and subscriptions, preserve legitimate competition history, maintain security and audit trails, resolve disputes, comply with tax or legal requirements, and enforce agreements. Retention varies by record and may continue after account closure.
Routine access logs are generally retained for a limited period based on operational, security, fraud-prevention, and service-provider requirements. Retention periods may change as systems, risks, and legal requirements change. Records connected to a specific security incident, fraud investigation, billing dispute, legal hold, or enforcement matter may be retained longer while reasonably necessary.
Issue reports, status history, and administrator notes are retained while the issue is active and afterward for a reasonable support, security, quality, and dispute-resolution period. Reports may be de-identified or deleted when they are no longer needed.
Discord API Data is deleted or de-identified when it is no longer reasonably necessary for ATOM’s stated functionality, when Discord requests deletion, when the applicable user validly requests deletion, or when BGL stops operating the relevant service, unless retention is required or permitted by law. Where accurate tournament history must remain, BGL may remove or replace direct Discord identifiers while preserving non-identifying competition records.
When other information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete, de-identify, or isolate it. Backup copies may remain until overwritten through normal backup cycles. Discord and its payment providers separately retain transaction records under their own legal obligations and policies.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed for the nature of the Services. Depending on the data and system, safeguards may include encrypted transport; encryption or equivalent protections appropriate to stored data; authenticated sessions; role checks; request-forgery protections; access restrictions; signature verification for supported event notifications; secrets management; and audit or security logging. Safeguards may evolve as the Services, risks, and available technologies change. No online system is completely secure. You are responsible for securing your Discord account and devices and for promptly reporting suspected compromise.
If BGL discovers unauthorized access to Discord API Data or another incident that requires notice, BGL will investigate, remediate, notify Discord, and notify affected users or authorities as required by applicable law and Discord’s developer terms.
10. Your privacy choices and rights
Depending on where you live and subject to legal exceptions, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or a copy of personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent; or to appeal a decision about a privacy request.
Send requests to support@beyondgamingleague.com. Include the Discord account involved and describe the request. We may verify your identity and authority before acting. An authorized agent may submit a request where law permits, but we may require proof of authorization and identity. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
You may also remove ATOM from a Discord server, revoke connected-account authorization through Discord, or stop participating in a tournament. Those actions prevent or limit future collection but do not automatically delete records already lawfully retained. Some information cannot be deleted immediately or completely when it is needed for fraud prevention, security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or another permitted purpose. For account, payment, or transaction data held by Discord or another payment platform, you may also need to contact that provider directly.
11. Children and minors
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and BGL does not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. Users must also meet Discord’s applicable minimum age. If you believe a child provided information contrary to this Policy, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Only an adult with legal capacity may purchase or manage ATOM Premium.
12. International use and transfers
Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where service providers operate. Those countries may have different privacy laws. Where required, we use an appropriate legal mechanism or other safeguard for restricted transfers.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy at any time to reflect changes in the Services, data practices, service providers, security needs, legal or regulatory requirements, or third-party platform requirements. The updated Policy will identify its effective date and version. Non-material changes may take effect when posted. For material changes that affect how personal information is collected, used, or disclosed, we will provide reasonable notice through the Services, email, or another reasonable channel and will request consent or renewed acknowledgment when required by applicable law.
